Artist’s Alley for Animinitime Moncton is now CLOSED

Please provide the following information in an e-mail to conchair@animinitime.org with the Subject “Artist Alley Registration”

Note: Having issues with original e-mail - sorry everyone! Please utilize the e-mail above for future applications.

Full Name:
Forum-name/ Alias:
Email address:
Date of Birth: DD/MM/YYYY. (ID will be required at convention for proof of age)

EventBrite Confirmation Code: (if you have pre-registered, you should have received one via e-mail. This will ensure speedier registration for Artists Alley)

Please Choose ONE of the following options:
FULL DAY, FULL TABLE: 15$
FULL DAY, HALF TABLE: 12$

1/2 DAY (9-3 or 4-10), FULL TABLE: 10$
1/2 DAY (9-3 04 4-10), 1/2 TABLE: 7$

Measurements:
Full Table= 6ft by 2.5ft
Half table= 3ft by 2.5ft

Artists Alley this year is designed not only to cater to all those hard-core artists out there but also to give all you fledglings an chance to try and spread your wings! We've got a variety of table spaces available to suit everyone. Whether you want to rock out in AA with your business for the day, or just give the whole thing a test-drive, there is a space for you. Check it out!

So here are some of the details that YOU, potential Alley Vendors, need to know! Please read the whole post before you explode with Questions! Some information/details have not been provided yet. Don't worry, it will get posted closer to the actual day of Alley registration :)

This is information that I cannot stress enough, guys. Read it FIVE TIMES. OR FIFTY (fifty is better). And if you have any questions, you can direct them here, where the staff will be happy to answer them...ORRRR you can send me a PM. OR! You can always contact your Artist Alley coordinators at artistalley@animinitime.org
ONWARD!



WHEN:
Registration for HALIFAX'S Artists Alley opens FRIDAY, JANUARY 29th at 7PM *SPARKLESPARKLE*

WHERE:
At Home on yer butt! ALL registration for Artist Alley and ALL payments for Artists Alley will be taken ONLINE.

WHO:
-You must be pre-registered for Animinitime before you can register for Artist Alley.
-You must be at least 16 years of age to register for Artists Alley.
-THERE WILL BE 30 SPACES AVAILABLE FOR THE HALIFAX CONVENTION, ON A FIRST E-MAIL BASIS. YOUR SPOT WILL ONLY BE CONFIRMED AFTER AMINITIME HAS RECEIVED PAYMENT. Please note: payment CANNOT be sent until your first email has been confirmed/verified by Artist Alley Staff (i.e: we'll email you back before you can pay).

COSTS:
FULL DAY, FULL TABLE: 15$
FULL DAY, HALF TABLE:12$

1/2 DAY (9-3 or 4-10), FULL TABLE: 10$

TIMES:
-Alley participants may pick up both their Artist Alley and Convention Badges in The Alley between 8:30am-10:00am.
-From 10:00am onwards artists may pick up both badges at the registration desk.
-Artist Alley will close at 10:00pm. All artists are asked to be out of the facility by 10:30pm



Some other stuff worth noting (SO NOTE IT! YIS.) :

-Any registrations sent BEFORE the opening time/date will be declined/junked (!!no lie!!)
-Those who have not pre-registered for the convention will not be accepted for alley registration. No exceptions. We check this stuff.
-Those who are registered for Artists Alley will be given a badge to wear while at their table. THIS BADGE MUST BE WORN WHILE AT YOUR TABLE.
-AA spots are limited: sending an e-mail does not guarantee you a spot. Only ONLINE PAYMENT will confirm your space for the convention.
And lastly:
-COSTS WILL BE THE SAME FOR BOTH EVENTS. REGISTRATION FOR HALIFAX AND MONCTON ARE SEPARATE.
We will post more information about the Moncton Registation in the Spring! Don't panic! D:

Questions!

1] How exactly will registration work? You mention payment and an email, so is that something that will go through together (like the email is sent with the online payment) or do we have to send the email after we've sent payment, as two separate things? And that's 7PM Atlantic time, yes?

2] On the rules page it states, "In the event that you are sharing your spot with another artist, only one of you may be at the table at a time. This is to avoid over-crowding. For those sharing two spots, you will be given two badges but the same rules apply." I was told through email that "If you require more space or someone to sit with you, I recommend applying for a table instead of one spot (which constitutes as half a table)." My husband is coming with me as my helper/table mate and is not an artist himself. I plan on getting a full table and expected he'd be able to sit with me at all times. I may be misunderstanding what was mentioned in the rules, but I just want to make sure.

Answers!

1)
a. Registration and Paymet is a two step process for the applicant:
-You send an email saying you want a spot in AA (including specifics of for how long, table size etc)
-We verify that you've pre-registered for the con, write you back saying a spot is available for you and to please be sending us monies so we can confirm your spot.
-you send off a SECOND email to verify that you have sent payment (although in actuality this is more of an invoice from PP stating that you have sent the payment).

b. 7PM Atlantic. That's local time for Halifax-area and the surrounding maritime provinces :)




2) You're not mistaken. The only time you should have to worry about that 'one person at a time' rule is if you purchase half a table (or 'one spot'). In that case, only one person can be sitting there (either yourself, or your helper, with the badge to prove they are supposed to be there). If you get a full table, no worries. 2 badges + 2 spots = 2 places to sit and its all good? :D

Moncton's Artist Alley registration wont happen until well after the Halifax convention is over. You've got lots of time :)

whenever I try to send my application I get a delivery failed e-mail back. Tried 3 times and still nothing. Any ideas why it would do that?

EDIT: nevermind, I just saw the email change :)

Just got the e-mail reply (my first con! woot!), and I'm ready to send payment. But, I noticed the paypal email is the same one that people are reporting got bounced. Should I send payment to registration@animinitime.org or conchair@animinitime.org?

EDIT: no problems with the paypal e-mail as I first feared.

Hi Andrew,

The account address in the e-mail sent to you should be registration@animaritime.org , which is correct. The animinitime/animaritime difference can be a little confusing - sorry ^^
