You should simply grab a room you'd be at least okay with and then after the draw if no one takes your current room you can email resroom and ask Isobel to give you back your old room. The room I'm in right now was a male room too.

Yeah as long as no one else takes it you should be able to get it back. I argued with them at room draw and they wouldn't let me have the room. The year before I had it the room was a boy's room, but another girl did the same thing. I was unimpressed that it was a boy's room two years in a row. I would email resroom right after the room draw so that no one at the general draw can grab it.
