Animaritime 2008 welcomes you to its fifth year! We are proud to be the only anime and gaming convention in the North American atlantic time zone and thus we strive to bring the best to our attendees. Animaritime 2008 will once again be holding events such as theater-style anime showings, panels and workshops, masquerade, an artist's alley, vendor room, card and board games, RPG's, console games, and much more. Animaritime 2007 exceeded our expectations, bringing in more attendees and from farther away than we had ever seen before. Watch out, Animaritime will be bringing you the best of the best in anime and gaming in 2008.

March 10, 2008 - Thank you all so much for a fantastic 5th year. Not only did we have 825 attendees, but we had a ton of great vendors, sponsors and guests. Thanks for all of you who braved the atrocious weather to make it to the con, and we hope that you all had a great time. Keep an eye out in the next month for a brand new website, along with volunteer and staff applications. Thanks again for making Animaritime 2008 a success.

February 29, 2008 - Animaritime is pleased to release their plans for the special 'fastpass' offered at Animaritime 2008. As some of you may be aware, the 'fastpass' is a hotel-only perk that we are offering to attendees who are also staying at the Delta this year. The 'fastpass' allows you to quickly move towards the beginning of the line for any event that has limited attendance (with the exception of events that require a pre-registration). In order to receive your 'fastpass', you will be required to show your hotel receipt at the info desk. We highly recommend that everyone staying in your room come at the same time in order to quicken the process, but you can come separately. However, if you come separately, you will each have to bring the receipt to the info desk. Once we have verified your receipt, we will stamp your attendee badge with the special 'fastpass' stamp. Once you're badge has been stamped, you will be able to reap the benefits of your hotel-only 'fastpass'. We hope that this perk will make your hotel costs worthwhile, and we also hope that you enjoy yourself at Animaritime 2008.


February 14, 2008 - Animaritime is excited to announce that our schedule is available online. The schedule is in PDF form, and is available here. We have posted this information in order for people to better plan their time at Animaritime, and would like to stress that all times and events are subject to change with little to no notice. We hope that everyone is pleased with the list of events for Animaritime this year, and we look forward to our 5th anniversary being our best year ever. Thank you everyone for all of your support over the years. This year's going to be great.

January 14, 2008 - Animaritime is excited to announce their latest guest, Svetlana Chmakova, author of DramaCon. Svetlana was born and raised Russian, and came to Canada at the tender age of 16. She finished high school here, then graduated Sheridan College with a three-year Classical Animation Diploma and is currently a freelance artist, as well as a fledging North-American equivalent of a manga-ka. She has been in a love-hate relationship with comics and manga for several years now because she is too weak to break it off. Svetlana has drawn for how-to-draw-manga books, RPG manuals, toy designs, animation, book covers and a bunch of online comics. She is most famous for her series DramaCon, and will be doing a book signing this year at Animaritime. And finally, a reminder that tomorrow will be the last day to preregister for the convention!

December 12, 2007 - We are thrilled to announce two new guests for Animaritime 2008. KV Johansen will be returning for her second year, and we are pleased to welcome back to Animaritime, but this year as a guest, Jones, the creator of Vampirates. November 11, 2007 - Animaritime is happy to announce this years hotel incentives! Animaritime counts on attendees staying in our room block at the hotel, but we understand that sometimes the price can seem high. In order to give our hotel guests the best bang for their buck, we provided events and promotions specifically for our attendees staying in the convention hotel.

This year, one of our most exciting promotions is the introduction of the FastPass. For any event that requires a lineup, a second line will be created for hotel guests. Animaritime will allow priority entry for attendees in this line. This means that hotel guests will be able to enter these events with less wait time. Other hotel incentives this year will be a Pool Social, big screen DDR, a Guest Q & A session, and an automatic entry into a special Animaritime raffle (prizes to be announced at Animaritime). Animaritime will require proof that the attendee is staying at the hotel in order to gain access to these events and promotions. Details of how to prove you are staying at the hotel will be made available at Animaritime. So book your room at the Delta now, and be sure to ask to be placed in the Animaritime room block.
